FAQs

Questions, answered briefly.

Who pays for the vehicle-cleaning service?

Participating employees book and pay Hlamba directly. The employer does not pay for individual employee washes unless a separate arrangement is agreed.

Does the employer manage employee bookings?

No. Hlamba manages its own service bookings, customer payments and service communication.

Must vehicles be moved to a separate washing area?

Not necessarily. Where there is sufficient safe working clearance and the employer permits it, a vehicle may be serviced in the parking bay where it is already parked. An alternative approved area may be used where required.

Does an employee-interest assessment mean Hlamba may start operating?

No. The assessment only measures employee interest. Any pilot requires a separate proposal and written site approval.

Is payment required when employees register their interest?

No. Registering interest is not a booking, and no payment is collected during the assessment.

How are water and wastewater managed?

The proposed arrangements are assessed for each site and documented before an operating pilot begins. Hlamba will address water use, wastewater handling and area restoration as part of the site-specific operating proposal.

What happens if the site is not suitable?

Hlamba will not operate in an area that does not provide the required access, safe working clearance or site approval. An alternative arrangement may be considered with the employer.

When can employees begin making bookings?

Bookings only become available after the employer has approved the pilot and Hlamba has confirmed the launch arrangements.
